Both stories are prequels to K: The First and gives you a little more insight and knowledge about both clans.
Both stories also tell how these clans are intertwined to the story in K: The First and what their background is regarding the subject.
As a K Fan, who has also seen the anime multiple times, i found both manga's very interesting to read and i'm happy to see that there is more content to this series which i enjoy to read and watch.
