Favorites: 177 Resources | New Interest Stack Interest Stacks   My personal collection of female-centric sports manga that's actually good and doesn't feature too much sexualization and actually respects its female protagonists. We need more good sports manga about girls!!   Don't get me wrong, I love a good by-the-book sports manga. But variety is the spice of life, so here are some sports manga that don't fit the mold.     Manga that were published under the Shojo Beat/Shojo imprint by Viz Media.    This stack covers Shojo and Josei manga that have a strong emphasis on sports, whether that's men's sports or women's sports. Additionally, it includes everything from tennis to dance to things like Karuta.   I tried to compile an extensive list of the English Licensed Shojo and Josei manga titles where romance is a sub-plot at best, if present at all (many of these don't have any romance present).   This is a list of Shojo/Josei manga where Female Friendship is centered on at least 50% of the time or more. Some honorable mentions that do have prominent female friendships, but in my opinion don't quite meet a minimum 50/50 ratio would be: Fruits Basket, Kimi ni Todoke, Daytime Shooting Star, Chihayafuru, and Ao Haru Ride.
