This story is about political intrigue, mental illness, revenge, and a splash of romance. The ML saves FL and uses her as a stand in for the dead princess who was his cousin. He uses her to get revenge on those that killed his dad and cousins. The FL, Violeta becomes a stronge individual through facing different challenges, overcoming it with the support of others.
Season 1 is good and sees significant progress on the revenge front with a steady growth in the relationship between FL/ML. We see a couple of different love interests. Then, season 2 comes and the art is completely different, but not

bad. You just get thrown off and it is hard to follow the storyline because you are relearning who is who since the characters look like completely different people from season 1.
The ending felt a little rushed. Not in a bad way but that you can definitely tell the author wanted to get it done. All of the leads political rivals are taken care of one after another to where she succeeds the throne and achieves her goal. The second season focuses a lot on mental health and deterioration.
If you are here for a sweet romance with political intrigue this is somewhat it. The romance progresses from the ML just using the FL, with her permission, to him slowly falling in love with her and supporting her in a healthy way. But all of the sweet romance parts stop after they do the snu snu. There is one scene where he says he will wait to marry the FL until she is ready and that he wants to be her support and partner not just her be a trophy wife essentially. And then there are no more romantic scenes except when he comforts her when her mom dies. It ends very abruptly with her ascension and doesn't explain what happens with their relationship. I mean you just assume they end up yogether since he is there to support her but you don't actually know what happens. It focuses a lot on her gaining political clout and her relationship with her mentally messed up dad.
